From time to time, the Free Press encourages members of its staff to share their thoughts on the topics of the day, beyond the space reserved for objective reporting in the printed pages of the paper. It is our hope that there can be an online community of McDaniel College based bloggers and readers, talking about issues that affects the larger McDaniel community.
Ideally, the close real-world connection the writers and readers of the blogs have with each other will add more accountability than what is normally found in online publishing. Join us in this experiment.

The Best Blog Ever
Mike Habegger, former Co-Editor in Chief, Web Editor, and Layout Editor, class of 2008, maintains his own blog independent of the Free Press website. Most of his posts are about political happenings, since that is his main interest. His work is sometimes witty, sometimes megalomaniacal, and all the time entertaining. Habegger has been described as a “leading progressive thinker” by himself.
