Welcome to the Leftist

Please join our discussion

Get your mind blown by the left-wing opinionated analysis I rock. Pragmatism has prevailed in Democratic circles, but I'm not prepared to accept that. Let's push things forward.

The Left is growing

But don't let the moderates stamp out our ideals. We cannot waste a moment in pushing this country left. Our generation is optimistic and idealistic; we can't lose another generation to cynicism.

My Past

If you read my previous incarnation of this site, called The Best Blog Ever, you might have noticed that I said some pretty outrageous stuff. Part of the reason I virtually discontinued that blog was because I couldn’t keep up the crazy persona. That’s just not me, especially now. It turns out that my idealistic self is being proven correct, as the people are leaving the Right in droves, heading over to the Left side of America. You can still read the old posts. They are archived here, I’m not hiding anything.

I am still very much in tune with my liberal self, however. Don’t expect me to compromise on anything. I learned a ton of good stuff during my four years at McDaniel (class of 2008, punks!), but I know I basically know nothing. That’s why I’m heading to a graduate program in the fall (see below).

McDaniel College was good for me. It’s been about a year since I graduated, so I finally have some perspective without being overly emotionally attached. Frankly, the school lives up to its modest hype. Warm, caring, place. Professors are awesome, the administration is hardly the iron-fist it is on other campuses. Westminster, Maryland is a pretty cool small-town-city. The people there are great. I couldn’t begin to give a shout out to all of them, so I won’t shout out any of them.

Here’s a quick list of what I did at McDaniel: me cords

3.94 GPA
Phi Beta Kappa
Editor of the McDaniel Free Press, 2006-2008, designer of McDanielFreePress.com, on which this blog is hosted.
Peer Mentor Advisory Board Member Head Delegate,
Harvard National Model United Nations, McDaniel College Delegation
Technology Chair, Maryland Higher Education Committee, Student Advisory Council
President of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society
Co-President, Society for Collegiate Journalists
Pi Gamma Mu,
Pi Sigma Alpha,
Trumpeters,
Theta Alpha Kappa,
Phi Sigma Iota,
Alpha Lamda Delta,

I think that’s it. I also did intramural sports, and I was awesome at basketball pre-knee surgery, and then again my senior year. So I’m athletic. I played basketball and golf in high school. As in, I played on the team. Pretty cool, right?

All in all, if you really want to know about my past, what I’ve been thinking about, what I’ve been doing, you really just need to go check out my facebook and click through pages and pages of content about me that I’ve generated for the past four years. So, add me as a friend, and then you’ll get the whole story.
