Get your mind blown by the left-wing opinionated analysis I rock. Pragmatism has prevailed in Democratic circles, but I'm not prepared to accept that. Let's push things forward.

The Left is growing

But don't let the moderates stamp out our ideals. We cannot waste a moment in pushing this country left. Our generation is optimistic and idealistic; we can't lose another generation to cynicism.

What I like about Sundays

It’s Sunday. This is what I like about them, at least at this point in my life:

1) I get to eat good food.

Sure, it’s pretty sweet to sleep in and such, but the best part is the early Sunday lunch. It just feels so good in your stomach.  Many times, you know, you’ve had a rough night previous, and all a little nourishment just hits the spot perfectly.

Usually, we hit up China House Buffet in Shamokin Dam or Garfield’s in the SVM. Right now, I’m settling for Subway, which is normally our Sunday evening dining location. That probably means I’ll be muching on some Chinese later for dinner. Yum.

2) It’s a day with no obligations.

Even though I have tons of free time, you get stuck in routines to fill your time. And it makes you feel busy, even though what you’re doing is usually fun and social in nature, anyway. But on Sunday, there is no stressful routines to be followed. I get to do whatever the hell I want. I might play some video games, watch a movie, catch a NBA game, sit around on the couch, read a bit, pet the cats. It doesn’t matter. I can do it all, and no one can judge me, because it’s Sunday.

For example, right now, I’m able to type out this post. It’s the first time I’ve felt motivated enough to communicate via message longer than 140 characters on the net in a long time. You know why? Because on a Sunday, I’m not tied down by usual routines.

Another thing: I’ve been watching tons of movies recently, and even they get categorized into routines. I feel really restricted on what movies to choose to watch during the week. Why? Because in my quest for efficiency, I never deem it acceptable to watch a movie I’ve already seen on a weeknight. On Sunday? I can watch the Matrix Reloaded if I want to.

You even get to do laundry on your own terms. Sunday is the only day on which doing laundry seems like a happy activity.

3) Feeling refreshed

Sleeping well is a great thing to do on a Sunday. If you don’t get enough sleep the night previous, you can make up for it by taking a long nap. That’s always fun, in that way that you’re not really doing anything (I always wonder how sleeping is so frequently listed as a favorite activity by so many young people).

Plus, you can take like 3 showers if you want on a Sunday. You ain’t go nothing else to do. It’s a lazy Sunday.

Okay, that’s all for now.
