Who I hang out with: Kim, Chris (who is coming to visit tonight), Billy, Molly, Zach, Adam, Martin, Jason, Amanda, Kacy, Kelly, Julie, among others. Seems like a short list, I know, but I wasn’t gonna list everybody, Jesus! (he doesn’t count).

Music is really important to me so…

Hip Hop: Nas, Atmosphere, Glue, Mos Def, Sage Francis, Boac, Beastie Boys, Rakim, Lyrics Born, Old Jurassic 5, MC Lars, Zion I, aka every fucking hip-hopper ever, oh I should mention the roots. I can’t name them all, but that’s set for now. Ask me about anyone, and I’ll know.

Movies: My favorite movie is of course all three Matrixes combined, because they make one flawless piece of entertainment and philosophy.  Um, another favorite of the moment is Hot Fuzz. I watch too many (probably a hundred or so this summer).
TV: Drawn Together, Futurama, Cowboy Beebop, Daily Show, Colbert Report (I’m a poli sci major, remember?), Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, PTI, Grey’s Anatomy, and my personal favorite used to be Gilmore Girls, but it’s no longer being made. Such a pity. Still sad about Logan just peacing out.
Books: Perhaps the most important category, but again, I’ll go lite. I’ve increased my consumption of books this summer and fall.  Number one : House of Leaves. The rest go from there. Only Revolutions, You Shall Know Our Velocity, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The Dictionary of the Khazars, If on a winter’s night a traveler, Walden, Society of the Spectacle, The Assault on Reason, The One Percent Doctrine, The Assassin’s Gate, Simulation and Simulacra, An Instance of the Fingerpost, among many others.

So everybody thinks they’re and expert, and this poses a problem from time to time, especially for someone like me who considers himself and expert and doesn’t consider the other “experts” experts.

Well, I’m an expert. Self-proclaimed mind you, though I do have good grades, and people put me in places of power. Note the “put me.” I’m not a power monger. People think I can do a good job, have found no reason to remove me from power, and therefore, I’m in power (just check the McDaniel Free Press, Peer Mentor Advisory Board, Model UN Head Delegate, Honors Exec Board, etc.).

So you should listen to me, but only if you wish. And if you think I should stop wasting my time writing all about crazy radical things in an entertaining (my standards) way, then let me know and I’ll stop. Unless you’re pissed off at what I write about. Then, maybe go fuck yourself. More to come, just wanted to get this out there…
