Here’s a quick update of what’s happened in the past week for the Green Terror:
Women’s Basketball
After receiving an ECAC tournament bid, the women’s basketball team made it all the way to the final game, downing Delaware Valley in the first round (73-58) and St. Vincent in the semifinals (77-70). They ended up taking second place overall after a loss to Catholic in the final game (63-75).
Men’s Basketball
The men’s team also received an ECAC tournament bid, but suffered a 65-73 loss to Neumann in the semifinal round on Saturday, March 8.
Women’s Indoor Track
Two members of the women’s indoor track team traveled to Boston to compete in the ECAC Championships. Jasmine McCormick finished eighth overall in the pentathlon with 2,946 points, and Chloe Allen-Gorman finished 31st in the 800m run with a time of 2:25.17.
Softball
On Sunday, March 2, the softball team recorded two wins in their double-header at Gallaudet (10-0 and 17-2). A week later on March 9, they traveled to Mary Washington where they split their double-header, losing 1-2 in the first game and coming back in the second game with a 10-1 win.
Baseball
The baseball team hasn’t played a game since their double-header at St. Mary’s (Md.) on March 1 due to cancellations. They split those two games, losing the first 4-5 and winning the second 10-5.
Women’s Lacrosse
The women’s lacrosse team hosted Frostburg on Saturday, March 8 and pulled off a 16-8 victory. Their next game is at Elizabethtown on Wednesday, March 12. The next home contest isn’t until Tuesday, March 25 against Shenandoah.
Men’s Lacrosse
The men’s team has played three games so far this month. The first was a 7-13 loss at York on Saturday, March 1, the second was a 7-6 win. Their next game is at home on Saturday, March 15 against Ferrum at 1:00.
