Students, faculty, and friends all came out on April 26 2013 to raise money for the American Cancer Society at McDaniel College’s Relay for Life. The event raised more than $21,000, almost $3,000 more than last year. 20 teams participated with 375 different team members signed up.
“We’re really happy with this turn out because we met all of the goals we set at the beginning of the year,” said executive director Michelle Woshner. She is optimistic about raising more money for this year’s event because fundraising does not end until Aug. 31.
