Today, McDaniel announced the Educator’s Legacy Scholarship, a new scholarship for children of K-12 educators applying for Fall 2016 admission. The scholarship is $100,000 spread over four years.
The applicants’ parents or guardians must have at least four years of current and consecutive employment verified by their school administrators. $25,000 will be available each year and is renewable for students that maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA.
“We are proud of this legacy and want to celebrate our commitment to educators by rewarding elementary and secondary school employees for their work in preparing the class of 2020,” Dr. Casey stated in a press release.
The scholarship was announced now in honor of American Education Week.
