Recently, an email was sent out notifying students that they will receive a $30 fee if they enroll in a class after Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 at 4:30pm, with all changes needing to be finalized by Sept. 4 and withdrawal fees being imposed between Oct. 27 and Oct. 30 2015. While the late add fee is being waived for the fall 2015 semester, students are still buzzing about it. So, we asked students for their opinions on the change.
Derik Jackson, senior
Thinks that the change is really unfair and “they try to make us pay for everything.” He also wonders what their [the Bursar’s Office] excuse for the change might be.
Sarah Seymour, senior
Does not like the change. Thinks there could be a reason for the change, but otherwise “they just want more money.”
Sierra Johnson, senior
Thinks the change is “stupid.”
Danielle Druch, senior
Believes that the change is “extremely stupid”
Kristen Gindlesperger, senior
Dislikes penalties for altering schedule, “what if you don’t realize until the fourth week?”
