Elderdice is the oldest dormitory in use on McDaniel’s campus, as it was built in 1920. It opened in October and was finally dedicated on December 17, 1920, but technically it was still owned by the seminary at the time. The first dormitory owned by the college that is still in use today would be McDaniel Hall, which opened in 1924.
