Do not miss the 2nd farmers market of the year.
After the great success of the first Farmers Market on Aug. 29th, McDaniel College Dining Services decided to host another on October 3rd in Red Square from 9a.m. to 2p.m.
“Vendors are very excited to come back to the hill, after they had a very good time selling and getting to know the students and faculty at McDaniel College,” said Amanda Piper, the Unit Manager of the Dining Services.
This time, the Farmers Market will be filled with vegetables, fruits, breads, and a lot of other natural products. Vendors include: Evermore Farms, The Farmer’s Daughter Handmade Goodies, Thorne Farm, Furnace Hills Coffee Company, De La Tierra Garden, Big Daddy’s Kettle Korn, Bees by the Bay, Pressed Panini, B More Nuts, Zahradka Farms and Keany Produce.
This Farmers Market will also have Beads by Bettina, a vendor that sells handmade jewelry. According to Amanda, Beads by Bettina was a great success at the last market.
“The first one was successful so we decided to do another one. Vendors were excited and we had positive feedback. The Farmers Market wants to support the community and sustainability” said Amanda Piper.
